The Gluten Debate

You've probably heard of gluten in some way or another recently. It is pretty much the new health craze and biggest debate in nutrition this past year. You might have seen something about it on television, read an article about it in a health and fitness magazine or perhaps have just noticed all of the new "gluten free" food on an aisle at your local food market.

1in10 would like to join in on researching the debate and bring you some information that we have found!

::The Gluten Debate::
Did you know that Gluten is the literal latin word for "glue". It gives elasticity to doughs, allows bread to rise, and gives product containing it a chewy texture. Gluten is a glycoprotein, meaning it is a sugar/protein composite compound that is in foods processed from wheat and grains. Also being found in other foods. Gluten is used as a food additive to increase the protein content and stability of products. Surprisingly, a lot of people don't know that gluten is often used in ketchup and ice cream! Who would of thought right? So do you think there could be a connection between PCOS and Gluten? It's very possible that there is a connection.
Sadly there is no publicized medical research yet that supports the theory that there is a connection between gluten and PCOS. There are many doctors that believe a connection is possible. Did you know that Gluten Intolerance is very similar to PCOS Symptoms? Here are a few sypmtoms:
